Two Cowork Coplay programs announced for 2024

Applications are open for 2 Cowork Coplay programs running in early 2024 in Adelaide, SA and Perth, WA.
Cowork Coplay is a face-to-face, 6-week program designed to enable Defence/veteran partners to focus on their careers and make connections with others, in a supportive and fun environment.
The innovative program will be offered again in Adelaide in early 2024 for spouses of current and former serving ADF members, after a successful program ran in early 2023. This is again thanks to the support of Veterans SA.
In other exciting news, Navy partners in Perth, Western Australia will have access to Cowork Coplay thanks to support from Royal Australian Navy.
Cowork Coplay programs were specifically created to address the needs of the Defence community and this is something that Chantelle Bohan, Director of Veterans SA resonates with.
“We know that partners of current and former ADF members are pursuing study, work or their own businesses”, she says.
“They have career goals and often, because of having small children and the extra load from military service, they don’t get that focused time with a peer group. We are proud to again be sponsoring Cowork Coplay because we know it offers incredible value to participants not only from a development perspective, but importantly creating essential support networks,” says Chantelle.
Each week Cowork Coplay participants will receive:
- 3 hours of time and space to pursue their career/employment projects
- a supportive and connected group environment
- opportunities to participate in workshops, some with external mentors
- access to information and resources
- child care, for children 0-5 years old
- morning tea.
Claire Harris, the creator of the program, has drawn from her experience as a Defence partner as well as her professional experience to create the programs, which are delivered through a social enterprise.
“It’s brilliant to be working with Veterans SA again and the Royal Australian Navy for the first time to bring Cowork Coplay to the Adelaide and Perth Defence communities,” says Claire, Strategic Director with Human Quotient.
