Defence service life can be challenging. Resettling with each posting, managing changes in your career, setting up your and your family’s life (again & again). It’s not always easy, yet there is opportunity and a chance for growth.

That’s why we created the Cowork Coplay program.

A safe, supportive, fun space with others in the community for you to:

pursue what matters to you
focus on your self-development, contribution or work goals
be supported by others that ‘get’ you and can empathise with your pathway and Defence experience
connect back your joy, your wellbeing, your peace
learn new skills and walk away with approaches and tangible tools (like worksheets and plans) for your life and career goals, wellbeing, self-care and networking
receive targeted advice from experts and mentors about booming industries and good employers
take advantage of an on-site creche
find out about local supports, including from government organisations.

The 2023, 2024 Adelaide programs were sponsored by Veterans SA.

The 2024 Perth program for Navy spouses was supported by Navy and run as part of their Stay Onboard – People First campaign.

The 2025 Adelaide program was sponsored by Veterans SA, WorkSec and APOD.

The 2025, 2026 Darwin and Katherine programs were possible through support from the Northern Territory Government.

The 2026 Adelaide program was sponsored by Veterans SA, with additional contributions from APOD, Lives Lived Well and NEDC.
